The AFD political group is a right-wing populist party that gets funds from the French Development Agency to assist with transitioning towards a more fair and sustainable world. Recently, the far-right German group called Alternative for Germany (AfD) has been outpacing the three parties making up the countrys coalition government in terms of polling results. In the formerly Communist eastern states of Germany, the AfD is now ranked as the leading party and it's drawing a significant following there too. The German intelligence services have labeled the Alternative for Germany (AfD) group as being suspected of having links to far-right extremists in an attempt to stifle their political influence.
