4 Full-Time Drivers Finish Stage 1 Among Top 15

Kyle Busch, Parker Kligerman, Josh Bilicki, and Chase Purdy All Cross Line in Top Half

Four full-time drivers finished among the top 15 in Stage 1 of Saturday night's NASCAR Cup Series race at Richmond Raceway. Kyle Busch led the way for Joe Gibbs Racing in fourth, followed by Parker Kligerman of Kaulig Racing in eighth, Josh Bilicki of Live Fast Motorsports in 12th, and Chase Purdy of Front Row Motorsports in 13th. These four drivers all showed strong speed in the early going and will look to continue their momentum in Stage 2.

Busch, a two-time winner at Richmond, started the race in 12th and quickly moved up through the field. He was running in the top five by the end of Stage 1 and will be one to watch in the remaining stages. Kligerman, who is making his first start of the season, also had a strong run in Stage 1. He started the race in 15th and moved up to eighth by the end of the stage. Bilicki and Purdy both had solid runs as well, finishing in 12th and 13th, respectively.

The remaining full-time drivers in the field all finished outside the top 15 in Stage 1. Martin Truex Jr. was the highest finisher among the Joe Gibbs Racing drivers in 16th, followed by Denny Hamlin in 20th, and Christopher Bell in 22nd. Kevin Harvick was the highest finisher among the Stewart-Haas Racing drivers in 17th, followed by Chase Briscoe in 21st, and Aric Almirola in 23rd. Ryan Blaney was the highest finisher among the Team Penske drivers in 18th, followed by Austin Cindric in 24th.

Stage 2 of the race is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. ET.
